Lloyd’s has released the data following the first day of trading in the first auction of 2020. The second day will now be tomorrow (Friday 23rd) following technical problems with the auction software at Lloyd’s.

A total of £87m of capacity is tendered for sale across 20 syndicates. Aside from two bids, one for Atrium 609 and one for Beazley 623, for a combined purchase of £489m, there is just £58,176 of subscription (buy order) capacity at this stage.

The attached schedule here shows tendered and subscribed capacity along with (where one exists) the strike price should the auction process be run on the day one data. This strike price is rarely indicative of the final outcome.

We anticipate auction results to be available by mid-afternoon tomorrow.
